How to Cancel HBO Now That Game of Thrones Is Over

Since Game of Thrones is officially behind you, you’re probably asking yourself a lot of tough questions. Unsurprisingly, one of the biggest questions GOT fans are asking this week is, “How do I cancel HBO now that Game of Thrones is over?”

If an immersive HBO commercial ahead of the series finale hasn’t motivated you to maintain your $ 14.99 monthly subscription, you’re not alone. Attentive Reddit user underlander notes that after this finale, the number of requests to “cancel HBO subscription” has skyrocketed. No, seriously, check out the Google Trends results:

If you have an HBO subscription through HBO Now, a standalone HBO app, it’s easy to cancel. To get rid of the service, you just need to launch the app, go to Settings, then Billing Information, and then select Unsubscribe.

This is where you can turn off your subscription, which means you can use it for the rest of the month (or whenever your billing cycle starts), but you won’t be charged again for it.

iTunes

If your HBO Now subscription is paid for through iTunes, you need to go to the App Store on your device and then select the profile icon in the upper right corner of the screen under the Today tab. From there select “Manage Subscriptions”. Find your subscription on the page and click on it, then select “Unsubscribe” and then “Confirm”.

Google games

On Google Play, launch the Google Play Store app, and then click on the hamburger menu in the upper left corner of the page (three rows are stacked one above the other). To do this, select “Subscriptions”. Scroll down until you find HBO Now and select it. On the next page, you will see the “Unsubscribe” option at the bottom. Canceling your subscription is just as easy by clicking this cancel button.
