Go Ahead and Have Lunch at 11am.

It’s a little sad to wait outside a restaurant at 10:55 am, to go hungry and feel like you couldn’t plan your meals like a normal person. But lunch at 11 a.m. is clearly a wish for many of us, and I’m here to advise you to eat whenever you feel like it.

Michelle Ruiz from Bon Appétit spoke with experts and confirmed that morning hunger attacks are normal and that cops won’t come and arrest you if you bury yourself before noon. My experience confirms this.

Now I wake up around six, exercise, then drink coffee and possibly a protein shake. By the time I drove the kids to school and got a job for the day, I was finally getting hungry, but why bother with this strange category of “breakfast” when I have perfectly good lunchtime food. in fridge? So maybe I have lunch at 10 am. Okay. If it’s a hearty enough lunch, I’ll be fine until noon and then I can grab a snack.

If you really want to be able to eat at a socially acceptable time, like a so-called normal person (fun fact: some of these “normal” people are already starving by noon, just like you), here are some ways to get your stomach up and running. timetable:

  • Eat a hearty breakfast when it is actually breakfast time. Not a bagel on the way out, but a real sandwich or something else with fat and protein. Sometimes we are just hungry because we used to be undernourished.
  • Plan an afternoon snack. Again, fats and proteins are best; try some cheese, hard-boiled egg, or some concoction.
  • Eat an early lunch, but plan for an afternoon snack as well so you don’t ruin your dinner plans.

In truth, when you are hungry depends a lot on when you wake up and when you are used to eating. That way, you can change your schedule if you need to, but it’s perfectly normal that if you wake up early or have breakfast early, you’ll eat your lunch early too.
