How to Get a Free Copy of Assassin’s Creed Unity for PC

In response to the recent fire that devastated Notre Dame – one of the world’s oldest and most iconic cathedrals and an iconic piece of French national history – French video game publisher Ubisoft is offering a free PC copy of Assassin’s Creed Unity (typically $ 30) for a limited time. The promotion will run from April 17th to midnight April 25th.

Ubisoft hopes this free offering will increase awareness of the recovery fund and encourage users who support the company’s free-to-play offer to make donations for the recovery.

  3. Click “Add to cart” and place your order.
  4. Follow the instructions on the screen to complete your order.

In addition to being able to add a game to your collection, there is also a link on the store page where you can also stream the game for free.

While there are many Assassin’s Creed games with one-word subtitles starting with the letter “U”, Unity is a game set in Paris during the French Revolution, with Notre Dame featured prominently in the game. Admittedly, Assassin’s Creed Unity did not receive the most positive reviews at launch, but many of them were caused by technical issues (and some lax arguments about why the development team did not add playable female characters to multiplayer).

However, the offer is noble (and free is free). The deal will only last until midnight on April 25th, so stay tuned for it.
