Find LGBTQ Accommodation When Traveling With Mister B&B

When you search for accommodation online, you can often find information about how big the place is, what bed you sleep in, and what restaurants are nearby. However, what you may not be able to find out in the listing is whether your hosts are LGBT friendly.

Mister B&B is a website that only lists gay-friendly hotels worldwide. The website and app work in much the same way as Airbnb: people can rent out rooms or apartments. Nightly rates are determined by the hosts. Unlike Airbnb, Mister B&B also lists booking options at local gay-owned or gay-friendly hotels (you can turn the hotel option on or off when searching).

The service currently operates in over 135 countries. The idea is that not only will you be able to find a safe and LGBT-friendly place to stay, but you will also be able to meet and receive travel advice from other members of the gay community while traveling.

In addition to an easy way to find accommodation, the app also offers LGBTQ-friendly city guides for a number of popular city destinations, including San Francisco, London, Madrid, New Orleans, Montreal and Puerto Vallarta, with local tips from locals. The Experience option works similarly to Airbnb’s offering, offering tours and other activities run by locals who are also LGBTQ.

Prices for Mister B&B are comparable to prices on other booking sites. A quick search of San Francisco yielded everything from private rooms for about $ 75 a night to a hotel room at the Ritz-Carleton for $ 940 a night.

And where you are staying, you are welcome and safe, which is of course an invaluable part of any vacation.
