Use up Your Ubisoft Club Credits Before They Expire This Month

There are so many digital currencies and reward systems out there that it can be difficult to remember how much you saved up where, especially if you are like me and you enjoy saving up your virtual points / coins / toys for something good . (I promise that someday I will use my credit card bonus points.)

At least that’s the problem I’ve encountered with services like Ubisoft’s Uplay that reward you with “club units” – the least sexy way of saying “coins” I’ve ever seen – when you complete various tasks and tasks. in Ubisoft games. …

These club units allow you to purchase what I call “lesser DLCs,” meaning you can use them to equip your game character with new weapons or cosmetic gear, unlock vehicles to ride or new cards to play. on, download new quests or music, etc.

You are not going to drastically change your game with any of these purchases, but they will allow you to slightly improve what you do. It’s simple. Now imagine my surprise when I received an email from Ubisoft the other day warning that I only have 10 days to spend half of my supply of Club Credits before they expire. Yeah .

As it turns out, Ubisoft made sweeping changes to its reward system back in late 2018. This fake digital currency used to have no expiration dates at all. You can store your Club Units for as long as you want and grow your digital storage with just a few points here and there when you feel like it.

These club units are now expiring – which is a silly idea in itself, given that they are not tied to money and cost Ubisoft nothing to store in any database. However, starting from April 1st, you will have two years to spend your accumulated points. If you don’t, they will go away. This part is simple; the transition period is a little more complicated, as Ubisoft tries to describe in the FAQ :

“To find out the number of Club Points that will expire on March 31, 2019, we compare your Club Point balance as at March 31, 2017 with the number of Club Points you redeemed between March 31, 2017 and March 31, 2019.

If you bought more Club Units than you received 24 months ago, the Club Units do not expire. Conversely, if you bought fewer club units than you owned 24 months ago, the difference will expire on March 31, 2019. ”

Rather than trying to figure it out yourself, head over to Ubisoft’s Check Your Balance page to find out what’s expiring on March 31st. And if you’re shocked by the outcome, it’s time to start spending money . Buy a ton of content for whatever Ubisoft game you’re currently playing – Far Cry New Dawn and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey are now for me because I never made it into The Division franchise.

And if you need to expand your game library a bit, you can also blow up 100 Club Credits to get 20% off the next game you buy from the Ubisoft Store. That’s not too bad considering how easy it is to make roughly that much just by playing one game.
