Change Your March Flights Southwest for Free, Even If There Is a Fare Difference

It may have taken the FAA to convince Southwest Airlines to remove its 737 Max 8 from the air , but the airline compensates for that with a (sort of) March promotion that allows you to change flights for free even if there is a difference in ticket price.

Unlike most other airlines, Southwest never charges a change fee. The difference is that you can change your flight to a more expensive one without paying a dime.

The system-wide policy change, originally discovered by Dan’s Deals , allows you to replace any flight that was booked to travel in March for another one free of charge within 14 days. Dan didn’t say why there was a deal, but our own Shep McAllister was given the opportunity when his 737 Max 8 flight was canceled, which customer support said was due to issues with the Max 8 .

If your travel plans have changed, this is great news. As Dan points out, buying a ticket can mean good things too. He booked a flight for $ 134, and a few seconds later changed his ticket to the $ 583 option.

He notes that after he made this change, he was unable to cancel the ticket (Southwest allows free cancellation within 24 hours of booking) and instead had to call to get his money back, so probably every of your life you ”Have you ever bought a plane ticket and you need to be ready to fly when you start the process, or be prepared for a little headache.

If you are planning a trip in March at the last minute or want to extend an already booked one, this is a pretty good deal.
