Get Rid of Your Kid’s Bad Day With a Magic Spell

Sometimes the mood is felt first thing in the morning. Your child wakes up in a bad mood and you think, “Well, today should be a fun day.” Or they grumble the moment you pick them up from school, suppressing the excitement you felt after seeing them after a long day.

It can seem completely impossible to get a child out of a bad mood after it has calmed down, and the result can be contagious. Before you know it, you are all frustrated with each other over homework and dinner preparation.

One father decided that he would not let his son’s bad mood win. When his wife sent him a warning message as he and his son approached the house (“We’re going hot! Alex had a hard day”), he prepared medicine.

He began by hanging a couple of signs at the entrance of the house so that his son could see when he arrived:

“You had an ax! * $ Day? Go here.”

“Warning! I hug you ahead.”

And finally …

“You are entering the Bad Days Be-Gone, Inc. spell. Complaints have been heard. “

Then it was time to cast a spell to banish the bad day. Dad of the Year came up with this part on the fly:

I made Alex run for a glass of water, a pen and two pieces of paper. I asked him to draw a moon (with as realistic details as possible) on one sheet of paper and stick it on the wall. On another snippet, I made him write as many bad words as possible (including swearing!) While I was timing him, then crumpled it up and put it in a glass of water. While the newspaper was falling apart, he had to tell me what went wrong that day. He told me about a misunderstanding with his teacher, and then I made him spin five times while listening to Led Zeppelin’s “The Ocean”.

The combination of the silliness of the spell and all that positive parenting attention was enough to turn Alex’s bad day into a good one.
