Rediscover Random Episodes of Your Favorite Shows on Netflix With This Web App
We all have a few favorite shows. When it’s a show with seven or eight seasons, then choosing which episode to watch on Saturday afternoon can be a bit of a daunting task. For me, that usually means watching the same five or six episodes over and over, but there is something to be said to give some of those episodes you don’t really remember another chance.
Shufflix is a web app that randomizes a number of popular shows on Netflix and offers recommendations on what to watch right now.
For example, clicking on “Friends” suggests that I’m watching Season 6, Episode 22: “The One Where The Man Is Gender”.
If you like the offer, you can click “Look!” to launch a Netflix player (you need your own Netflix account) and start watching. If you do not like this offer, you can ask for another one.
Shufflefix currently only supports 21 shows, but they are good. Some personal favorites from this mix include Arrested Development, The Office, Breaking Bad, and of course Friends.
This tool can be a great way to rediscover episodes of a show that you’ve forgotten. Stumbling upon him, I personally fell down the Friends rabbit hole. It’s funny to think back to old episodes at random, and while I could definitely go through Netflix on my own and find this episode (and others I’ve watched) on my own, I probably wouldn’t.
