Create Your Own Dank Memes With These Meme Template Accounts
Angel Olson once sang, “They made a meme out of my legacy, honey, ” but I have never found a meme that fully captures my lasting impact on the world. Luckily, I can now (easily) create my own memes with a little help from template Instagram accounts.
Obviously, making memes has always been something I could do, but I am very lazy, do not want to download an additional application and resist any changes to the meme-related images on the computer using real photo editing software. But now, thanks to some great template accounts, I can create my own memes targeted at me in less than five minutes without leaving the Instagram app.
Meme template accounts are pretty easy to find. Just search for “meme templates” on the Instagram app and you will find quite a few options. (I suggest you follow at least two for a change.) So far, @meme_template_ and @templatesformemers have provided more than enough templates to satisfy my need for memes, and (although smaller) @ meme.templates.jpg and @B template .for.quality.memes has some pretty good stuff too.
Once I find a template I like, I take a screenshot, crop it, and then open it in my Instagram story where I can add text or emojis.
After I’ve added the verbiage I want, I either post the meme to my story or save it by clicking the save icon (it looks like an arrow pointing down in a line) and close my story by clicking the x in the upper left corner. Then I cut the meme on my phone and – depending on what’s inside the joke – I share it with my loved ones, the world, or our editor-in-chief Virginia, who is herself something of a meme master.
