Make Sure Your UltraViolet Account Is Now Linked to Other Retailers
If you have an UltraViolet account, you should link your library with multiple retailers. The official closure of UltraViolet is scheduled for July 31st.
After July 31st, you will still be able to access the movies and TV shows that are in your UltraViolet library, provided that you have linked the library to one of the UltraViolet-enabled stores before shutting down.
Supported retailers include Fandango Now, Kaleidescape, Paramount Movies, Verizon FiOS, and Vudu.
For now, you can still buy new movies and TV shows and use digital codes by following the redemption instructions. UltraViolet says content may or may not be added to your UV library. Once completed, you will still be able to redeem these codes, but no UV entitlement will be generated, so the content will only be available through this seller.
To see which stores you’ve already connected to your UltraViolet account, log into the UltraViolet website and select Retailer Services from the menu at the top right.
To add a new seller, visit their site from this page and then create an account, or if you already have an account, find the UltraViolet setting on the site account settings page. Some retailers have already set up an UltraViolet account for you when you purchase content.
UltraViolet recommends linking multiple retailers to avoid service disruptions after shutdown; however, it says the outage will not have “very little impact” on users if they connect these retailers by July 31st.
