How to Unlock More Accurate Time in the IOS Calendar App
I am always grateful when a calendar app makes planning events easier. And in a number of applications, you will find that the developer assumed that you were going to schedule appointments, appointments and other fun parties at that hour, and if not, then at some time, which either ends in “5” or “0”.
And that’s okay. I can’t remember the last time I needed dinner or a trip to start at 6:37 instead of the more natural 6:30 or 6:45. However, if you’re still locked out of Apple’s default Calendar app on iOS, you can bypass Apple’s restrictions and create events that start any minute. You just need a little know-how.
Open the Calendar app and select an existing event or create a new one. Your choice. After confirming (or entering) the name and / or location, tap on the start or end time. You will see a small section expanding, allowing you to scroll up and down to set the date, hour and minute (in five minute increments), and AM or PM. Double-tap anywhere in this section and the interval in minutes changes from five to one. It is so simple.
To return to the five-minute steps, simply double-tap anywhere in this section again. By the way, this trick only works in the regular Calendar app on iOS. I tried it in my favorite scheduling app, Google Calendar, but no dice.
