What Should We Bake Next?

Hello everyone, and welcome back to Will It Casserole , a column where we see what dishes, dishes and cuisines can be reimagined and turned into casseroles. The new year has arrived, which means it’s time to choose our very first casserole project of 2019.

Considering we’re right in the middle of a bad winter , we need a cozy casserole that makes us feel like we are cuddling. We need something that warms us from the inside and makes us happy to the last bite (in case you have a desire to Condo your refrigerator). As always there are ideas:

  • Grilled cheese and tomato soup: There are a few different ways to make this, but I imagine a lot of crispy bread, a lot of different cheeses, and a reduction in tomato soup.
  • French Onion Soup Casserole: Same as above, but with an insane amount of caramelized onions and a beef base instead of tomatoes (obviously).
  • Ramen casserole: Someone recommended this many months ago and it’s an evergreen idea. There will probably be mushrooms, assorted vegetables and seaweed, or we could follow the Roy Choi route and use American cheese.

Any of these would be perfectly acceptable to me, but I would love to hear any creative casserole concepts you would like to share with the class – the more convenient the better. Blind me!
