How to Watch Golden Globes Without Cable

The Golden Globes are officially airing tonight. The show, hosted by Andy Samberg and Sandra Oh this year, officially kicks off at 8:00 pm ET / 5:00 pm PT in Beverly Hills. This year’s program will also feature a new award, the Carol Burnett Prize, which will be presented to Burnett during the broadcast.

If your invitation to the main event got lost in the mail, you have several options on how to view it:

The television

The Golden Globes will air on NBC this year. If you have a cable or digital antenna, you can tune in to the broadcast for free. If you have a TV and don’t have a digital antenna, you should grab one now (seriously, they’re $ 10 ).

Cable TV subscribers can also watch the live stream on NBC.com . You will need your cable company credentials.

Streaming

Most major streaming services offer NBC as an option. DirecTV Now, Hulu with Live TV, Sling TV, PlayStation Vue, YouTube TV, and fuboTV all offer NBC streams in most markets.

99% of people will have no problem watching NBC on any of these services, but if you’re going to sign up for one to catch this year’s Golden Globes, you should double check and make sure your local NBC station is available through the one you choose. …

All options cost between $ 40 and $ 45 per month, with the exception of Sling TV, which costs $ 25 per month. All streaming options also offer free trials, so if you’re not currently a subscriber, you can sign up for an account to watch Golden Globes and then cancel your account before being charged.
