How to Track Santa’s Location in Real Time on Christmas Eve
Despite the government shutdown, NORAD is still busy tracking Santa this year. A service that has been tracking Santa’s movements on Christmas Eve since the 50s, when her number was mistakenly passed off as Santa’s hotline.
Fortunately, NORAD has the technology to always know where the sled is.
It was previously the only game in town, but now you can also get this information and several other places, including places like Amazon Alexa and Santa’s own app.
NORAD
Long a “source” of information about Santa Claus, you have several options for tracking Santa with NORAD. NORAD is what your local news station uses, so if you tune into the radio or watch TV, you’ll get the latest updates from it.
NORAD also has a Facebook page where you can track Santa’s movements, a hotline 1-877-HI-NORAD (1-877-446-6723) and a website where you can track Santa’s location and play some games. …
Amazon
If you ask Alex “Where is Santa”, she will briefly tell you where he is now, and then offer another funny “fact about Santa Claus.”
Google’s Santa Tracker lets you know where the big guy is now and when he should arrive at your home. At my parents’ house in North Carolina, we expect to arrive at 11:00 pm.
Google’s tracker also offers facts like the distance to Santa Claus right now, how far he traveled, and how many gifts he delivered.
If someone in your home is very interested in tracking these sleds, there is also a dedicated mobile tracking app that comes with some launchable games.
