Apple’s $ 29 IPhone Battery Replacement Plan Ends Jan 1

About a year ago, Apple admitted that it was slowing down the batteries in older iPhones and offered to replace the battery in all phones newer than the iPhone 6 for $ 29 – assuming that battery is replaced by December 31st. So time is running out.

Starting January 1, the cost of this battery replacement will rise again to $ 69 for the iPhone X and $ 49 for older devices.

So, if you have an iPhone SE, iPhone 6, iPhone 6 Plus, iPhone 6s, iPhone 6s Plus, iPhone 7, iPhone 7 Plus, iPhone 8, iPhone 8 Plus, or iPhone X with less than a stellar battery, now is the time to go ahead and make an appointment at the Apple Store to fix this (actually it was probably a year ago, to be honest).

The Apple Store is likely to go crazy after the holidays, so you can make an appointment at the Genius Bar as close as possible towards the end of the month – just make sure you stop by the end of the 31st.
