Students Can Get YouTube Premium and YouTube Music 50% Off
If you are a student who has been contemplating subscribing to YouTube Premium or YouTube Music, now might be the time to buy.
YouTube is currently offering both student plans half off. This means you can get YouTube Music Premium for $ 5 per month (subscriptions are typically $ 10 per month) and ad-free videos for $ 6 per month (subscriptions are typically $ 12 per month).
The YouTube Music deal is a long-term deal, and the YouTube Premium deal is a promotion that only works if you subscribe before January 31, 2019. After that, students can still get the discount, but will pay $ 7 per month.
To be eligible for any deal, you must be full-time at an accredited college or university in the United States. Google also plans to offer student discounts in other countries in the future.
It does not require an .edu email address to register, as many other similar programs do, but your registration status is checked using the SheerID, which is quite tricky in-game.
