Be the Hero of the Holiday Party With Dip

Now that Thanksgiving is over and everyone has the must-have turkey cooked up, we can turn our attention to other, more important things like holiday parties and holiday party snacks. To have a good party, you need to give people what they want, and people – in my experience – want to get into life.

During my time at Skillet, I wrote quite a lot about dip because I believe it is an almost perfect meal that delivers a truly delicious culinary experience. Scooping up a creamy sauce with crispy chips or plant nibs will add contrast in flavor and texture, and it’s really fun (and easy) to eat. (Why complicate your meal with fancy cookware?) Obviously there are a few more sauces to make and eat – I’m still trying to get my friend Ryan to share his spinach and artichoke recipe – so feel free to share your favorites with the class. Oh, and if you’re looking for new and exciting dipping transport systems, just remember that bacon is a dipping dish and I was told that it is especially good in hummus.
