How to Build a Cheap Air Purifier
A high-quality HEPA air purifier can remove almost all smoke, dust, or allergens from the air in a room, but a tricky $ 30 device can eliminate about 90 percent. It is worth trying if you need to clean indoor air cheaply.
To assemble the cleaner you will need:
- 20-inch box fan (about $ 15-20 new, or maybe you have one lying around)
- Oven filter 20 by 20 inches rated MERV-13, FPR 10, or MPR 1500-1900 (also about $ 15-20)
- Tape for attaching two

Having created such a system, you can place it in the bedroom or anywhere else where you need the air to be as clean as possible.
