Ask the Public Library to Find Your Next Favorite Book

The library can be huge when you’re just trying to read a light book on the weekend. If you don’t know exactly what you want, you may need a nudge in the right direction. Fortunately, you are in the library.

The Brooklyn Public Library is offering a new service called Bklyn BookMatch , discovered by Boing Boing. You answer a few questions about your taste in books and related media, and in a couple of weeks you’ll have five titles created just for you. It takes about two weeks to get a response because someone is actually reading and reviewing your responses.

This is probably why it takes so long! The form does ask if you have a ticket from the Brooklyn library, but it looks like the service is open to everyone, which is a classic public library. They just want us all to read the books we like the most.
