Can’t Draw Standing Shit? Try These Exercises

Drawing is difficult . Even after a lesson with a cartoonist from New York, the simplest drawing exercises scare me. If you’re easily intimidated too, but want to get better, try these basic drawing exercises on Envato . They solve questions such as “I cannot draw a circle” or “my proportions are out of proportion.”

These are exercises that you can do while watching TV, in a meeting, or in the waiting room. These are scribbles. They’re just fun enough that you can repeat them over and over while you do something else, until you learn how to draw a straight line or relax your wrist for smoother curves.

I personally hope that developing these basic skills will make “real” drawing less intimidating. So, if you try them, tell me if they will give you more confidence and make your hand and your brain feel a little more connected.
