How to Prevent a Crunchy Taco Shell From Breaking

Biting down on crunchy tacos just to crack the bottom and pour out the filling is definitely a tragedy, but it can be prevented: you just need to heat them up a little.

As you may or may not know, I was recently at Matty Matheson’s peak and came across this tip while watching a YouTube video of him criticizing a YouTube video of Kylie Jenner and Carruche Tran making shrimp tacos (bad). In it, he tells Karruche Tran that her “shells are broken, bro,” and then proposes a solution. “If you could just put this in the oven for a little while, let it heat up, let these oils run, they break a little less and [and] become less bitter.” Then he adds, “I don’t know. Why is Kylie Jenner doing something ? », Which is fair.

To try this for yourself, preheat the oven to 200 ℉ and insert the crunchy shells in there while you cook the rest of the fillings. When they are nice and warm and smell like fried, take them out of the oven and pour as usual. (You can also just use soft tortillas, but sometimes you just need a crispy taco shell.)
