How to Add a Dock Shortcut to Any MacOS Preference Pane

If you frequently access the same System Preferences pane on your Mac, you can add a shortcut right to the dock. Here’s how:

All preference panes are located by default in / System / Library / PreferencePanes / and you can easily reach that folder in Finder by typing Shift-Command-G to open the Go To Folder dialog and typing (or pasting) the above path into field. When you click Go, you will see a list of all the preference panels that you might otherwise find in System Preferences. Drag one into your Dock (on the right, with files and folders) and you ‘re done! – shortcut on the settings panel.

If you want to add shortcuts to third-party panels, they are located in your custom library folder: ~ / Library / PreferencePanes , so just follow the instructions above and replace that path in the Finder Go To Folder dialog.
