Every day seems like a new national holiday for some reason. That said, there is a pretty solid benefit to today’s national holiday: the free root beer is floating around.

Today between 2:00 pm and 8:00 pm, you can get a free tray of root beer at A&W stores nationwide . No purchase required, so you can just walk in, grab a float and enjoy. All courtesy of Bear-Root Root.
However, donations for the sweet treat are welcome. A&W accepts money for disabled American veterans, paying tribute to the roots of the dessert. He originally served in the World War I veterans’ parade.
