How to Tune Your Guitar Using Alexa

I think I’ve had at least ten guitar tuners in my entire life. I guess technically I still have ten because I haven’t officially gotten rid of any of them. I also cannot tell you where any of them are now.

If you’re like me and can’t keep track of things, or maybe you never had one to begin with, Alexa might be the last resort if you need to tune your guitar quickly.

The Guitar Tuner skill works essentially like the tiny tuner you carry in your pocket. It will play the tuned note, and then you can tune the note on your guitar until it matches how you want it to sound.

The skill uses A440 standard turning. Tuning begins on the low E string, then continues through A, D, G, and B, and then ends on the high E string.

This is great for quick setup when you’re already playing at home and want to test your setup hands-free. However, if you need a serious twist, notes can go too fast to get it right.

For situations where you need to sit down and really do the tweaking, I recommendvisiting the Fender website or the free app . It offers a range of different settings for not only acoustic guitars, but also ukuleles and basses, and can help when your tuner is MIA and you need help tuning.
