How to Avoid Entering a Wrong Email Address on IPhone

If you are an avid mail user and are always in a rush to send an email to your iPhone, errors tend to happen frequently. One of the iOS features on iPhone or iPad can help you draw attention to an incorrectly entered email address with one simple Mail setup.

Here’s how to set it up:

  • Go to settings and scroll down to Mail.
  • At the bottom of the page, click Mark Addresses.
  • Enter the email addresses of the domains –@gmail.com, @ lifehacker.com, @ yahoo.com, etc. – that you communicate with often, and separate them with commas.

Now that you’ve entered domains, every time you enter an email, the app will mark the misspelled domain in red. Red won’t stop you from sending an email – it just warns you to double-check the address.

Keep in mind that any domain you haven’t added to the list will be red. So don’t forget to add all the emails you usually send, even the rarest ones.
