Aperol Spritz Is Like a Grown Orange Soda
Happy weekend and welcome back to Happy 3 Ingredient Hour , a weekly drinks column featuring very simple yet delicious libations. I heard and felt that it was hot outside, so I felt like I needed an effervescent, slightly citrusy and refreshing drink.
They say Aperol spritz is especially in fashion this summer, but I’ve never heard of it being unpopular. If you’ve never owned Aperola, this is something like Campari Lite. It’s sweeter, less bitter, and just a little friendlier about everything. Combined with Prosecco and a little soda, it’s almost like a grown-up orange soda. To do it yourself, you will need:
- 1 1/2-2 ounces of aperol
- 2 oz Prosecco
- A little soda
Fill a glass with ice and add aperol and prosecco. Stir lightly, add some baking soda and garnish with an orange wedge if you want to add more ingredients.
