Stop Netflix Trailers and Increase the Content That Will Go on With Netflix Tweaked

Chrome, Firefox: One of the more annoying aspects of watching Netflix on your laptop or desktop is the trailers that the service likes to play automatically on your behalf. I have nothing against interesting trailers for films or TV shows, which may not be indifferent to me. And everyone suffers from trailers that they are not interested in in the movies – that’s just the name of the game.

What I don’t like is the autoplay of trailers, especially when I just turned up the volume of the system while waiting for my favorite show to start . I like to know that a wall of sound is coming in when I press the play button; don’t get caught in it, and a distracting video when I load the Netflix homepage.

Luckily, the Netflix Tweaked extension for Chrome and Firefox blocks the service’s trailers from automatically playing in your browser. And that’s not all. As an added bonus, the extension also places your Continue Watching and My List channels in the first and second positions below the popular content of the service at the top. You don’t have to flip through any Netflix promotions to find the shows you’ve watched or want to watch.

If only someone could find a way to do this on my TV …
