Vanilla Is a Cheaper Tool to Clean up the Mac Menu Bar
MacOS: We love Bartender , a $ 15 app that lets you hide menu bar items of your choice. But there is a simpler and cheaper app that does the same. Vanilla hides your menu items for just $ 5. And you can try it for free.
While Bartender 3 has advanced features like search and special rules for showing and hiding icons, Vanilla still has the most important features, including keyboard shortcuts. It looks a little cleaner on the menu bar, and its interface is more intuitive: to hide or show the icon, you hold down the Command key and drag it to the other side of the small Vanilla arrow.
If you’re already using Bartender, you probably don’t need to switch. But if you’ve never used Bartender, Vanilla might be your best bet. Luckily, both apps offer a free trial.
