You Really Need to Delete Your Old Tweets

When we last collected our staff’s weekly updates , our editors were cleaning up our yards, calming our souls with Dolly Parton’s help, and improving our laundry game.

This week, we’re ditching nasty digital relics, changing our morning routine, removing stressful situations from our to-do lists, and celebrating the joy of Smoothie Season.

What updates have you made this week? Let us know in the comments.

Stop waking up at the very last minute

My promotion is simply to “get up before 9 in the morning.” The sooner the better, but even 10 extra minutes to 9 seems to make a huge difference to my day. It helps me to be more in sync with my New York colleagues and makes me feel much less rushed because for some reason I see it as “extra time.”

Delete all stupid things you tweeted

I’ve been thinking about deleting my old tweets for a long time, and what happened this week of 2008 tweets has finally pushed me to the extreme. I paid $ 0.99 for the Cardigan ( which we recommended a while ago ) to go through and clean everything from 2009 to early 2018. Now no one can scoop up all the trash I tweeted at 21 and the relief is palpable …

Get yourself a summer haircut

I did a great summer haircut, a regular shoulder-length haircut but with a hidden undercut. My stylist suggested this because I have a ridiculous amount of hair and it diminishes the volume a little. But as a bonus, my ponytails now seem so cool and I can’t sweat my neck from the heat. It’s like a conditioner for the head.

Really use up all your bananas

I opened banana smoothie season this week, and my wife and I managed to eat all of our bananas before they were too brown, thus avoiding the charade of putting them in the freezer as if we’d ever take them out and bake a banana bread.

Do the one thing that bothered you

I finally crossed out what had been on my to-do list for the past two months. It gave me a lot of stress, and once it was done I felt the tension go away and relaxed for the first time in a long time – a massive improvement!

Enjoy your newfound free time

I opened a musical that received a brief “everyone should go see this” recommendation from the general San Francisco theater review community. In doing so, I finally got my life back on track – for example, I now have most of my weekends again, allowing me to play video games, drink adult drinks and watch the new movie Solo. It was good.

Add vegetables to your morning routine

I started to fry asparagus with scrambled eggs and chopped tomatoes for breakfast. It’s that simple, yet very fresh and satisfying. I feel much less vile in the morning.
