Parents, Put a Gate Around the Grill This Memorial Day Weekend

For non-parents, the grill is a tool used to make delicious burgers, sausages, and other barbecue foods that you can eat while drinking your beer and without questioning your life choices.

For parents of young children, this is a death trap. Who even put this flaming, unstable apparatus in the middle of the courtyard ?! And who put a balloon up Ryan’s nose ?!

But now it’s the weekend on Memorial Day, and we want you, dear mums and dads, to relax. That’s why we suggest this trick for you: Place a wire rack around the grill. Or offer to bring it to a party you are attending if you know there will be a lot of small children running around.

The brilliant idea comes from Mark Hoyle, father of LadBaby blogger and author of the upcoming £ 1 book LadBaby – Parenting , who tweeted this image:

The gate serves as a great barricade to keep your child and other tiny guests safe from fire. Now, calmly eat fried chicken wings, French toast, or melon . You know, after you sort out the balloon situation.
