How to Use PayPal With Google Pay on YouTube, Gmail and Google Play

You can already use your PayPal account to shop with Google Pay. Google and PayPal are now expanding their partnership so you can use your PayPal account to pay for things in the Google ecosystem, including Gmail, YouTube, and the Google Store. Better yet, if you link your PayPal account to Google Pay, you don’t have to keep signing in to PayPal every time you want to complete a transaction.

To get started, launch the Google Pay app and click the “Maps” tab at the bottom of the page. From there, click on the + button in the bottom left corner and then select “Add other payment methods” where you will see PayPal as a new option. Click on it and follow the onscreen instructions to link your PayPal account.

As part of this process, you will be prompted to create a four-digit PIN that you will use to verify your purchases. PayPal will also ask you to set up a fallback payment form in case you need to “top up” your PayPal balance because your account does not have sufficient funds to complete the transaction.

As with Starbucks, you can set any increment for this “top-up” amount. So, if you are short of $ 0.85 for YouTube rentals, PayPal will transfer $ 10 from your backup source, leaving you with $ 9.15 in your PayPal balance after you make your purchase.

After you add your PayPal account to Google Pay, you will see it as a payment method whenever you use Google to buy something. You can also set PayPal as your default payment using the service so that all of your Google Pay purchases can come from your PayPal account rather than a credit or debit card.

If you are not yet a Google Pay user, there are several (meager) bonuses available for using PayPal with the service. When you add a PayPal account, you will receive a $ 5 reward that you can use for your next PayPal purchase through Google Pay. You can also get $ 10 in your Google Play account after using Google Pay for five separate days within one month. Are these ten applications? One good book? Film? Not bad.
