Save the Tweets You Want to Read Later With Twitter’s New Bookmarking Feature

I spend a lot of time on Twitter. At least once a day, more often than not, a friend or someone I follow tweets something that I want to check, but I don’t have time right now.

Sometimes it’s a terrific article that I want to read but can’t while I’m in line at the grocery store, or a deal that I want to take a closer look at when I stand in front of my desk again. I usually email them to myself so I can see them later. However, this week Twitter released a new (for me) feature that changed my life, which allows users to privately save tweets called “Bookmarks.”

The idea here is pretty much the same as any other bookmark function. When you come across a tweet you want to view later, click the Share button at the bottom and then select Bookmark Tweet from the pop-up menu.

This feature is only available on the Twitter app for now, and to be honest, I found this to be exactly what I needed.

Later, when you want to access your saved tweets, you can find them by clicking your profile icon and then the Bookmarks tab that appears below your profile, lists and moments in the sidebar.

You also have to access all of these saved tweets using the app, it’s not on the desktop, which is a little annoying. It’s still a hell of a lot easier than emailing everything to yourself on the fly and hoping your letter isn’t buried in your inbox before you have time to read it.
