Get 5% Cashback at Whole Foods With Amazon Prime Rewards Card

The recent takeover of Amazon Whole Foods is getting better for Prime members, who now receive a five percent cash back on grocery purchases if they have an Amazon Prime Rewards credit card.

The Amazon card was already a pretty generous bonus card, especially if you frequent the giant shopping mall like the rest of us as it gradually takes over all industries. It returns five percent on Amazon Prime purchases, two percent at restaurants, gas stations and pharmacies, and one percent on all other purchases. (Full Disclosure: I have an Amazon credit card that I use to shop on Amazon.)

The free card also has a relatively low annual rate – between 15.24% and 23.24% – compared to cards from most stores (of course, you pay $ 99 a year for Prime).

If you don’t have a Prime subscription, but do have an Amazon Prime Rewards card, you’ll get three percent back. To see if you’re eligible, click Manage Payment Options in your account settings, then expand your Amazon Rewards card details.

This new feature comes a week after Amazon announced the addition of Whole Foods to its free two-hour Prime Now delivery service in Austin, Cincinnati, Dallas and Virginia Beach.
