Make This Edible Cannabis Massage Oil for Valentine’s Day

When applied topically, cannabis-infused oils can soften sore muscles and relieve pain, which means they can feel pretty good when used by other people. Although serious poisoning does not occur without swallowing, some will notice a slight hiss, especially if you apply a large amount to a wide area of skin. They give you a warm, relaxed, fuzzy feeling that goes well with sex – a well-known Valentine’s Day event.

It doesn’t take extra effort to make massage oil edible, especially if you’re already tinkering with cannabis. In truth, it’s not just great for sex. Lovers of the uterus will delight in its ability to relieve spasms; fitness people can recover faster; its soothing properties are beneficial for people with chronic pain as well as for those who endure sleepless nights. The fact that it’s edible means that you can apply a little more innuendo to the entire scenario, and also means that you can get even more noise if you eat it.

To make this love potion, you’ll need a neutral-tasting edible oil that neither you nor your partner is allergic to, a simple sous-vide setup, and a few drops of your favorite flavored oil. A serving of cannabis can be an untreated flower (which should be as pure and decarboxylated as possible), decarboxylated hashish, kief, or a concentrate.

In a sous vide bag, place one gram of finely chopped flowers per ounce of oil. If you’re using concentrates, a quarter gram should be enough for four ounces of oil. I used coconut oil, which doesn’t get sticky or dry if you rub it into your skin. Close the bag well and heat for about an hour in a 200 ° F water bath for at least one hour.

Strain this mixture and set aside; You now have a concentration of cannabis and oil that you can use to make capsules, balms, and any other topical application you can dream of.

To use it as a topical remedy, you need to dilute it at least slightly. Typically, that four ounces of oil will contain about 400 milligrams of cannabinoids if you’ve used a medium-potency herb. If you are buying from a legal state, the percentage of cannabinoids will be much easier to determine due to the clearly labeled packaging.

Dilute with three ounces of plain oil for a dose of 100 milligrams of THC per four ounces of massage oil. This is where you can make mixtures. For example, if you’ve added herb to coconut oil, you can add some grape seeds to reduce the “buttery” taste.

Add a few drops of candy flavor. I love LorAnn Butter’s Bavarian Cream , which has a sweet vanilla flavor unlike supermarket synthetic and dissolves in oil if you use just a few drops. Made with natural hemp and a light vanilla-candy glaze, coconut oil tastes like cake dough.

Store the mixture in a clean glass jar and try using within 30 days or freeze indefinitely.

Feel free to use liberally on the up to date side of things, but don’t revel in them unless you feel like swallowing a large dose (for a novice user). If you really want to use topically, a quarter dose at a time will give you a good, safe dose of three milligrams – much more speed for beginners and, dare I say, micro doses for most.

Play at your own risk, but as we have proven time and again, cannabis generally comes with limited risks. Do not use it as an internal lubricant, especially with condoms and sex toys. Preparing a lubricant for internal use requires a lot more cleanliness and diligence than the average home cook can handle. (If you need to, law stores have a variety of products that can meet these needs.)
