Track How Many Olympic Medals Each Country Won in Real Time
The first medals of the 2018 Winter Olympics were presented yesterday in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
Keeping track of where all these medals go can be quite an epic challenge. Online mapping company Esri has created a really nifty way to do this with an interactive map where you can see a visual representation of where all the medals are.
The map can be viewed here .
With it, you can see only the total number of medals won by each country, or break them down by gold, silver and bronze.
This allows you to see at a glance who is at the top, as well as in which part of the world the winners seem to be (which personally intrigued me very much).
And if the cards are not to your liking, you have several other options for keeping track of the number of medals handed out.
Most of the major networks and publications keep an operational count of the number of medals that each country takes home on their websites. The best place (in my opinion) goes straight to the source: the official Olympic website .
