Moisturize Your Hands While Washing Dishes

My job is 50% writing, 25% cooking, 10% eating and 15% washing stupid dishes. I hate washing dishes because it’s very boring and also because my hands look very sad. To combat Sad Dish Hands, I designed the Sad Dish Hands manicure and all you need to take advantage of its miracle are cheap dish gloves and some lotion.

For lotion, use something fairly simple and light, like CeraVe. You don’t need anything extra heavy or your hands will feel too slippery when wearing gloves. If you cringe at your nail bed, apply some cuticle oil or some coconut oil. Wear gloves on I as one with a light lining, such as these and make a terrible mountain of utensils in the sink. If you are worried it will be “unpleasant”, calm down; your hands will be moisturized and supple, not sweaty and slippery. The warmth from the dish water will help your ointment to be absorbed and your hands will feel better. (Guys should take this advice; there’s nothing better than a dude with nice hands who washes the dishes too.)
