How to Get Through the Tough Holiday Season?

Holidays are known for being as difficult as they are festive. Short days and cold temperatures don’t help anyone, and that’s even before the forced fun and family responsibilities begin.

Whether you are visiting a difficult family, worrying about spending money on gifts, having your first vacation since the death of a loved one, or having a tough time over something unrelated to the holiday but compounded by the time of year, there are ways to get through … It could be about finding new joys in the holidays or staying as far away from the holidays as possible.

How do you deal with the dark side of the season? Do you have wisdom from last December that you can share with people who are experiencing difficulties right now? Or even empathy so that the lonely among us know that they are not the only ones? Share your tip for getting through the holidays and we’ll put it together for posting on Sunday.
