Google Home Syncs Your Smart Home Gadgets With One Phrase

Smart devices are becoming more and more common. Whether you own a smart light bulb, smart plug, security camera, or all of the above, managing your devices can be tricky, especially if you’re building a collection. However, if you use Google Voice Assistant, they make it easy to add new smart toys to your existing home setup: one simple command that can speed up your voice assistant and keep connected devices up to date with each other. … All you have to do is say, “Ok Google, sync my devices.”

The sync command will essentially update the list of devices available through Google Assistant as well as devices present in your Google Home app. You can tell Google to sync all your devices at the same time, or continue working one type at a time. This means you can sync devices such as lights, switches, CCTV cameras or dishwashers (among other types) one by one, or complete the entire operation in one go.

Set up your devices first

Before trying to sync, you will need to work in the respective smart home applications. First, you must install the appropriate apps and connect the devices to your Wi-Fi network.

Before trying to connect your smart home device to Google Home, double check the product itself to make sure it’s compatible with Google Assistant, or search Google’s database of compatible products before you decide to bite a bullet and buy some smart plugs.
