Take Jeff Bezos’s Advice for Success and Consider Yourself 80
There is no denying the success of Amazon founder Jeff Bezos. Bezos recently toppled Bill Gates as the richest man in the world and made countless decisions throughout his career that have forever influenced, among other things, the way we all shop.
During an interview earlier this month at Summit LA17, Bezos said that when it comes to making all those vital decisions, he made a decision, expressing his opinion “forward to 80 years.” From there, he said he would take a path that would minimize his regret, which often makes the right choice obvious.
This is advice that has worked for him so far in his life, and it is not the worst advice that needs to be implemented personally. If you avoid regret in your decisions, you will probably be much happier with the choices you make.
Just ask yourself: what would I think of this? And choose accordingly.
