Ask Us Your Weirdest Health Questions

What would you ask your doctor if you were a little less shy? What health questions are you interested in but may be unsure about your search history? In our new Hot Questions column, we answer your unusual requests. Bring them.

If necessary, we will refer your questions to doctors and experts and will answer you. So far, I’ve received questions about why hemorrhoids and menstrual diarrhea exist, how large breasts can affect your BMI, and what happens if you get penile cancer. Of course, the questions should n’t be embarrassing. Anything unusual is fair play.

We’ll answer questions here in the comments, or you can email me elizabeth.skwarecki@lifehacker.com (I won’t judge, I promise). You can even act anonymously and ask questions at bethskw.sarahah.com . What do you want to know?

Update 11/3/2017, 11:00 pm: Questions are mounting! Thanks! Since there are so many of them that it becomes difficult to view the comments, please send your questions by email or Saraha if you want to be sure I will see them.

Update 11/4: don’t forget, I’m not really a doctor! And even if I like your question, I may not be able to get to it for a while. Therefore, if you are in severe pain or difficulty with anything, or are worried that you may have cancer, see a professional.
