Live Q&A With Lifehacker Staff Writer Patrick Lucas Austin [Completed]

Hello fellow countrymen! This is me, Patrick Lucas Austin, Lifehacker staff writer and technical expert. I’ll be here online from 3pm to 4pm ET (that’s 12pm to 1pm on the west coast) answering any questions (tech-related or otherwise) you geniuses can raise.

Feel free to ask me about your iPhone’s awful battery life, how to turn off your neighbors’ Wi-Fi, and whether you should make the leap from a dumb house to a kind of smart one. I got fatally ill at my fair share of trade shows, strapped a few sweaty VR displays to my bald head, and nearly hit a car or two (or four) while testing a battery-powered longboard (more fun than that sounds) If you have a question about the future, I probably have an answer.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions outside of technology too! I’m a big believer in unsubstantiated advice on topics like meditation, romance, swinging an iron and dogs.

When it comes to anime robots or productivity tips you can get from your terrier, this isn’t your bag, don’t worry. This is just one live question and answer to a growing roster from the Lifehacker team. Staff Writer Nick Douglas will join them next Friday, October 27, answering the questions you really want to ask. Ask him a few questions at nick.douglas@lifehacker.com.
