SNES Classic Has Already Hacked to Add More Games

Fueled by nostalgia, the Nintendo Super NES Classic was out in less than two weeks, but has already been hacked to add more games, customizable backgrounds, and more.

Typically, SNES Classic has 21 games installed by default, including the previously unreleased Star Fox 2 , with pre-set menus and backgrounds. This cracking using a program called Windows exploit hakchi2 , allows to add to the system more games (or ROM), apply custom background image to fill the screen with an aspect ratio of 16: 9 and include hidden “scan line”. filter with several settings.

The hack was developed by a Russian hacker known as “ClusterM”, who also figured out how to use the previously released NES Classic. Now hakchi2 will work on both systems. To use it, you just need to connect your system to your Windows computer with a micro USB cable, then launch hakchi2 and follow the instructions on the screen. However, be aware that doing so may void the SNES Classic warranty. And not all SNES ROMs can work well on a device.
