How to Clear Your Amazon Browsing History

Amazon not only keeps track of your purchases, but it also keeps track of all the products you have viewed and not purchased. Here’s how to do it.

There are several reasons why you might want to clear your Amazon browsing history. Perhaps you’re sharing an Amazon account with someone and don’t want them to see what you’re looking at, like when you browse through potential gifts, or perhaps you’re tired of receiving targeted Amazon ads based on your browsing history. Whatever the cause, here’s how you fix it:

  1. Go to Amazon website and sign in to your account.
  2. Find the link “Browsing history” in the upper left corner next to “Departments” and click it.
  3. From there, you can remove individual items by clicking the Remove Item button below each one.
  4. If you want to delete everything, click the Manage History tab in the upper right corner, then click the Delete All Items button.

That’s all! Now no one will see the items you viewed, and this targeted ad should disappear and stop seducing you.
