IOS 11 Makes Wi-Fi Password Sharing Much Easier

iOS: Having a carefully crafted and secure password for your Wi-Fi network can be a great time. It’s great that out-of-town guests come to you until that weekend and have to try your 20-digit Wi-Fi password a dozen different times because zero looks like O, or they can’t tell from your chicken scratch what letters are written. with a capital letter and which are not.

With iOS 11, sharing this password has become much easier. That is, if you and all your friends are using iOS devices running iOS 11 or computers running macOS High Sierra. You also need to save their contact information in your device’s address book.

Now, when your Apple loving friend tries to join your network, he can keep his phone next to your phone or computer that is already connected to the network, and you can simply share the password with them.

On your phone, you will see a push notification informing you that “Bob’s iPhone 7” is interested in connecting to your network and asks if you would like to share the password. If you click the big Share Password button in the dialog box, the password will be automatically filled in on Bob’s phone without having to enter anything. Reward Points: This means you don’t really need to tell them that your password is there, just in case you use the same password or variations of it for other purposes.

On Mac, this notification will appear in the upper right corner of the screen.

Of course, if your Wi-Fi password is “HouseInternet,” that doesn’t really change the rules of the game. However, if your password is “HouseInternet”, you can reconsider it.
