Cheapest Ways to Get a New IPhone 8

If you’re determined to get one of the new iPhone 8s when they start shipping this Friday, you have several options. And some of these options are significantly cheaper than others.

The base iPhone 8 starts at $ 699 and up , but the actual cost can vary depending on the carrier you choose and how you pay for it. Keep in mind that none of the mobile operators any longer offer “free” iPhones on a two-year contract. So you have to either buy it in advance or use the payment by installments from the telecom operator. Installment will allow you to pay for the phone over time, but it can add value.

WalletHub analyzed all these numbers and in two years found the cheapest options for interested iPhone 8 owners. For the lowest price, consider buying an iPhone 8 in advance with a no-contract plan from Walmart Family Mobile. It will cost you a total of $ 1609 over two years (saving up to $ 917 over the most expensive option). If you equip your entire family of four with new iPhones on the same plan, you’ll save about $ 1,700.

However, these carrier-based charges, which you can see in the infographic below, only apply to the base iPhone 8. If you’re thinking of buying an iPhone 8 plus, add at least $ 100 more to the cost. And if you’re going with an iPhone X , you’ll need to add another $ 300. WalletHub also has a cell phone savings calculator from the link below, which you can use to compare other plans if you don’t see any of your options listed.
