Get Started With NaNoWriMo With These Creative Writing Courses
If you’re planning on writing the next great novel for NaNoWriMo this November, you might want to hone your craft first. These online courses will help you develop your creative craft writing skills.
The courses offered by Wesleyan University on Coursera are comprised of four different classes (and core) starting on August 21st and running through early November. Here’s a quick breakdown:
Each course is taught by a different published author along with a professor at Wesleyan University and is offered at a discounted rate to all NaNoWriMo members ($ 29 per course instead of the usual $ 60). Note: you must use this link and fill out the Google form if you want to get a discount! Each course consists of video lectures and written assignments that you can send for review and feedback. You will also have access to discussion forums where you can interact with instructors and interact with other writers.
If $ 29 per course is too high for you, you can always apply for financial assistance through Coursera . Or, if you just want to learn and don’t want to interact with your instructors and classmates or receive any feedback, you can always audit all the classes listed above for free. You will get access to lectures and course materials, but nothing more.
