If you live in a city that attracts a steady stream of tourists, you already know (and are oblivious to) the chain restaurants they tend to gravitate towards, even when there are downright delectable local options instead for them to eat in – such as Visitors. New Yorkers flock to the Olive Garden in Times Square for Italian food rather than the family-friendly and delicious option of Parm . So, what local establishments should newcomers eat in your city, rather than chain restaurants?

One thing to note: people visiting another city or country can often find familiar cuisine comforting, so it’s okay if people don’t want to sample local delicacies for that.
