Get Free Online Legal Advice From the American Bar Association

If you live in a low income household with little savings, your state can provide free legal advice. The American Bar Association’s website Free Legal Answers answers three non-criminal legal questions a year. Questions and answers are confidential, except as required by law.

ABA launched this “virtual legal consultation” in September 2016, incorporating existing government programs and launching new ones. Metafilter lists 30 member states and five coming soon. Lawyers interested in participating can apply here .
