Amazon Is Killing Its Free Android App Program
Amazon has announced that its Underground store , a shopping app with free versions of various apps for Android phones and Fire Tablets, will be shutting down.
Launched back in 2015, the program was essentially a completely separate store filled with free versions of apps. Access to the store will continue until the end of the summer, and you will still be able to use any old apps you download, although the apps cannot be updated after the end of this month.
