Will It Be Sous Vide? Let’s Pick a Different Theme!

Hello my dear sous-video enthusiasts, and welcome back to another session on topic selection forWill It Sous Vide? , a weekly column where I do whatever you want with my immersion circulator.

It hasn’t been a long time since our last sous video experiment, and I’m more than ready to jump into the water bath again. A few tasty treats to try:

  • Root Vegetables: I still want to see how delicious carrots, turnips and parsnips can be made in a sous vide bath. I’m also curious if the cooking method can help “defog” sunstroke , so to speak.
  • Vodka and Bacon: I bet we could actually speed up the fat washing process . (In addition to bacon, we could also try sesame oil vodka, peanut butter vodka, or all three.)
  • Oxtail: I have a strong suspicion that this will be excellent.
